The Society's membership consists of six categories: (a) donor members, (b) life members, (c) honorary members, (d) ordinary members, (e) institutional members, and (f) corporate members, who are interested in the economic and social progress of agriculture and rural life. As on August 2007, there were 1344 members comprising 39 donor members, 849 life members and 456 institutional, corporate, and ordinary members. The members get the Indian Journal of Agricultural Economics of the Society free of cost and other publications either free or at concessional rates. In addition there are 450 subscribers to the Indian Journal of Agricultural Economics.

Individual Membership Fee and Institutional Subscription to the Indian Journal of Agricultural  Economics are Rs. 300.00 or US $ 75.00 and Rs. 600.00 or US $ 125.00 respectively.  Life Membership fee of the Society is Rs. 3000/- and should be sent to the Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, The Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, Krishi Vikas Sadan, First Floor, (Near Dr. Antonio Da Silva Technical High School),Veer Savarkar Marg,  Dadar (West), Mumbai - 400 028 ( India ).
