PROFESSOR S.S.JOHL AWARD FOR THE BEST PH.D. THESIS-2024
The Indian Society of Agricultural Economics has instituted Professor S.S.Johl Award for the “Best Ph.D. Thesis in Agricultural Policy” from 2024 to encourage outstanding original research in agricultural policy during the doctoral research. The award will cover related sectors, extending across agricultural, natural, and environmental economics. The award will consist of a citation.
The Indian Society of Agricultural Economics will administer the award. The applicants are expected to be the members of ISAE.
Applications for the year 2024 are invited from the research scholars who have completed their Ph.D. and obtained their degree/provisional degree certificate during 2023 (January 1 to December 31, 2023). The applicants should submit their PhD thesis along with the application through their respective PhD granting Universities/Institutes. The heads of the Departments should confirm the credentials of theapplicant. The application form can be downloaded from the ISAE website (isaeindia.org). A rigorous review process will be followed by a two- member jury of renowned experts in the field to select the awardee. The award winner will be invited to submit a paper from the thesis, which after being peer reviewed, will be published in the January-March issue of Indian Journal of Agricultural Economics.
