Dr. S.R. Sen Prize Award for the
Best Book
on Agricultural Economics and
Rural
Development Published in
2005-2006,
2007-2008 and 2009-2010
The Indian
Society of Agricultural Economics has instituted in 1996, under Dr.
S.R. Sen Endowment Fund Prize Award Scheme, a biennial prize award
of Rs.15,000/- for the best book/monograph on Agricultural Economics
and Rural Development published by Indian authors under 45 years of
age as on the date of publication of the book(s). Books that have
made significant original contribution to theoretical and empirical
studies in the field of agricultural economics and rural development
are considered for the award. Edited books by authors are not
considered for the Prize Award. The selection of the best book for
prize award is done by a Screening Committee and the Jury
constituted for the purpose.
Books published by Indian authors during the calendar years
2005-2006, 2007-2008 and 2009-2010 would be considered for the
Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Biennial Prize Award, respectively.
Members of the Society and the authors of books are kindly requested
to bring to the notice of the Society books published during the
years 2005-2006, 2007-2008 and 2009-2010, conforming to the
eligibility criteria specified above. The authors/publishers are
requested to send two copies of their books published in 2005-2006,
2007-2008 and 2009-2010 latest by 30th August 2011 for the
consideration of prize award to the Honorary Secretary, The Indian
